Smart swaps are healthier food choices to lower calories and make weight loss easier, like using plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, or baking with applesauce instead of oil.

In The Holy Mess Weight Loss Membership in June, we are practicing swaps. Here's a peek at a couple of mine.

These Dannon and Oikos Remix yogurt cups are my current favorite quick snack or lunch side. I call this type of thing "healthier junk food." They aren't as healthy as whole food, but more nutritious than junk food. And yummy!

I also made a jackfruit pulled “pork” BBQ for the first time.

I was apprehensive about this one. Jackfruit gets mixed reviews.

I rinsed the jackfruit thoroughly, shredded it, and cooked it with G. Hughes sugar-free BBQ sauce, onions, garlic, and spices.

👩🏻‍⚖️ Verdict: Not bad! The flavor was great. The texture was softer than meat but not unpleasant.

Jackfruit is very low in calories and has zero WW points. It doesn't have protein, so I realized I would need to add protein to my meal when I have this.
